Meet SusannA!

Susanna Raj is a change agent with a collaborative leadership style on a mission to make technology accessible, inclusive, and useful to all of humanity. She believes in using existing resources, creatively to solve some of the world’s biggest problems.

She is researching a path to bring the social sciences theory of constructs to reduce biases in AI development with her background in AI ethics, Psychology, and human computer interactions.

Susanna Raj is the CEO & Founder of AI4Nomads, Partnerships Lead for Women in AI USA, AI Ethics Advisory board member at the Institute for Experiential AI at Northeastern University, Program Chair and Co-founder of Global South in AI Affinity at NeurIPS and Board member at dataethics4all.

An inclusive AI instructor at the Business School of AI and a nationally recognized public speaker.

Susanna was a 2022 nominee for the Women in AI North America Responsible AI Leader award and a recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award 2020,USA.

Women in AI Ethics recognized her as one of 20 Rising Stars in AI Ethics and DataEthics4All named her as one of 100 DIET Champions, for her exemplary work in one or more fields of data and diversity, inclusion and impact, ethics and equity, in teams and technology.

Previously, Susanna was a researcher at the Intel Anticipatory Computing Lab and a Language Data Collection researcher at Amazon Lab126. She is a published researcher for the Association of Computing Machinery and the Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems at Women in Machine Learning.

Susanna has also worked with many Tech Hackathon events as lead mentor, SME, judge & organizer.
